Don't Miss Our Upcoming Events:

Join us as we go on a "road trip" through the past year. We'll map out where you've been, where you are and where God may be taking you next, taking plenty of time to take in the sights and reflect at every rest stop along the way.
In the driver's seat will be Amy McElwain assisted by her navigator, Corrie Purdum. Bathroom and snack stops will be accommodated, but you'll be responsible to bring along your own lunch.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
None of us like to suffer, but scripture (and sometimes our experience) tells us that God moves in our lives in circumstances we would not choose to experience. During suffering we often realize our own inability to control and fix things. We are humbled. We take the next step in trusting God.
God, the great healer and provider, does not cause suffering, but uses it to draw us closer to Him, to make us more aware of Him, and to bless us with experiences we could not have imagined.
In this retreat we will explore how God is using and has used suffering in our lives to continue to reveal Himself to us and build our character, strength, and trust in Him.
Please pray that God shows you if this is the right time for you to engage in this topic. If you are suffering so much that it is difficult for you to live your daily life, this may not be the weekend for you. The retreat leaders are not trained counselors and if counseling support is what you need right now, reach out to us and we can provide you with a list of local resources. If you are currently working with a counselor and/or have been working through a difficult experience and just want to spend this time with God, please join us.
This retreat will be led by Deb Griest and Judi Crytzer

God is often at work through the ordinary: ordinary people, ordinary objects, ordinary grace. Through the ordinary, God communicates epiphanies, salvation, revelation, and reconciliation. It is through the mundane that we hear God's quiet voice.
In this devotion for the season of Lent, Jill J. Duffield draws our attention to ten ordinary objects that Jesus would have encountered on his way to Jerusalem: dust, bread, the cross, coins, shoes, oil, coats, towels, thorns, and stones. In each object, we will find meaning in the biblical account of Jesus final days. Each week, we will encounter a new object to consider through Scripture, prayer, and reflection. From Ash Wednesday to Easter, Lent in Plain Sight reminds Christians to open ourselves to the kingdom of God.
Join us Sunday evenings via Zoom from 7-8 pm. Purchase the book at the link below.
