To many people the word “prayer” means talking to God. That is part of the process of prayer, but the other part is listening to God. Many of us have challenges with this second part. We haven’t developed the skills that put us in two-way conversations with God.
At this half-day retreat we will engage in three prayer practices that can help us both talk to and listen to what God may have for us. Short instructional large group gatherings will set the stage for times set aside for you to spend with God one-on-one.
Coffee, water and snacks will be provided.

From the very beginning, God met humanity in a garden. In Eden, life began. In Gethsemane, surrender was chosen. And in a garden tomb, death was defeated, and resurrection bloomed. Scripture reminds us that gardens are more than places—they are reflections of the soul. Like the earth, our lives move through seasons of planting, pruning, waiting, and renewal. Come journey with us as we discover the beauty of God’s sacred gardens and learn to tend the soil of our own souls. Lodging in a private room with shared bathroom, three meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast and all retreat materials are included. Limited scholarships are available at the application below to be submitted prior to to registration.
This retreat will be led by Amy Glazer and Amy Crawford.

What if fruitfulness wasn’t something you had to strive for?
What if it ripened naturally from a life rooted in the True Vine?
In a culture that equates fruitfulness with productivity, The Art of Vinemaking offers a countercultural invitation: to move at the pace of abiding rather than striving.
Join us as we work through Part 1 of author and artist Bette Dickinson’s new book. Walk with her in the vineyard as she learns this life-giving rhythm from the vine itself—and from a local vinedresser, Dave Bos. Through personal story, biblical reflection, and the botanical wisdom of the vineyard, this book helps you cultivate a life rooted in Christ, bearing fruit that lasts.
Order the book at the Amazon link below or at any new or used book retailer by mid June.

Community West Foundation is working to expand important conversations around human rights with the acquisition of the Matthew 25 Collection created by Canadian artist, Timothy Schmalz. Installed in outdoor spaces located on the near west side of Cleveland, each piece invites reflection on compassion, dignity, and how we respond to those most in need.
Join us as we take a self-led tour of four of the six statue installments around the west side of Cleveland. Directions and carpool information will be sent out one week prior to the event.
For more information about the tour, visit Community West Foundation’s website below.
